Professor Barnard-Kelly is an internationally renowned expert on the psychosocial aspects of diabetes.  She has extensive experience in developing the evidence base behind psychological interventions, in clinical trials, health technology assessment, translational medicine and impact of technologies on the lives of people with diabetes. Professor Barnard-Kelly has published over 200 scientific articles, is a member of several research advisory and editorial boards, and runs a successful health research business alongside her academic work
